Triple A skate camp 2007
Check out this old video from Triple A skate camp 2007. It was the first skate camp I organized with my project Triple A at Bryggeriet Skatepark. Nowadays the camps are named Bryggeriet GirlSkateCamp and I’ll let you all know when it’s time for the next one!
In the video you’ll find riders such as Candy Jacobs, some locals from Tösabidarna in Malmö and some other cool female riders from the rest of Sweden. Enjoy!

What goes down in Malmö…
Ok, first a warning, I don’t know what I did wrong but the embed thing didn’t work so to see the clips you have to click on the links. I’m gonna see if i can fix this later. If anyone knows what I need to do, pls tell me! (except for the obvious “copy embed link and paste in to html”, I’ve got that part… it doesn’t work… help!)
Let me introduce myself, my name is Anna. I’m one of the new writers on this blog. I’m from a town in the south of Sweden called Malmö and I thought I’d share with all of you what goes down in Malmö.
We have our own girlskate time on Mondays in the local skatepark. I thought I’d share this with you by posting this video that Andrea Andersson Antunes made. For those of you who have not had the pleasure to meet her, she is the leading lady when it comes to girlskate in Malmö, and also in Sweden I would say. Anyway, she’s awesome and so is this clip:
Tösabidarna 2009 from No Limit on Vimeo.
In Malmö we also have a super cool kid/girlskater called Emma Lindgren who makes her own show called Slash Teve, it’s fun to watch and each episode gets better and better. This is the latest clip and in it you’ll, among other things, find video from the recent girl skate camp we had here in Malmö.
Lörda´ from Slash Chefen on Vimeo.
The third and final clip is from a show by the local skatepark, Bryggeriet, and it’s called Fläsk TV. It’s about our newest skatepark here in Malmö, in a part of town called Oxie, it’s in the ghetto suburb where I grew up. So enjoy Oxie Skatepark and that’s all I’ve got for now. You’ll hear from me again sometime in the future, over and out.

Rubicon Easter Skate Camps
Ok, the Summer of 2008 saw Rubicon launch the UK’s first ever week long residential skate camps – and they went down an absolute storm. In just 5 days they managed to hit up the cream of British skateparks including the Boardroom Skate Park (Leicester), Adrenalin Alley Skate Park (Corby), Creation Skate Park (Birmingham), Pioneer Skate Park (St Albans), The House Skate Park (Sheffield), Stoke on Trent Plaza, Milton Keynes Plaza, St Neots Skate Park, Bay 66 Skate Park (London), Central Skate Park (Manchester), Coventry Bowl and Burton on Trent Plaza. WOW!!!
If that wasn’t enough, the atmosphere on camp is always amazing, you get to pick up new tips, tricks and skills from the instructors, meet a bunch of other up-for-it skaters, and pick up some free swag.
Dates for the two camps at Easter are:
Monday April 6th to Friday April 10th
Monday April 13th to Friday April 17th
It’s £299 all inclusive which means your entry to all the parks, your accomodation, your food, your tuition, you name it.
If you make just one New Year resolution for 2009, it should be to go on one of these week long residential beauties – it’s what skateboarding was made for.
Check out www.skatecamp.co.uk or drop an e-mail to info@skatecamp.co.uk
Google “skate camp” – they’re top for a reason.

Malmo Skate Camp
There’s a great girls skate camp happening in Malmo (Sweden) on the 31st October to 2nd November. It’s an absolute bargain of 500kr (£35ish) for your accomodation, food and everything else. So wherever you’re coming from, its worth grabbing a cheap flight (think KLM do some) and getting over there. Check it here.

Lois Pendlebury – Skate Camp Instructor
Rubicon are pleased to announce that Lois Pendlebury (VANS) will be joining the team at the upcoming residential skate camp. Fresh from NASS Girls Comp and St Albans Girls Skate Jam, Lois will be sharing her skills with the girls on camp – as well as just making sure everyone has a great time. Remember if you want to join up to the UK’s only skate camps next year then leave a comment here.

Nikita Summer Camp
Nikita will be holding a 4 day summer skatecamp in the Czech Town Pardubice from the 23rd-26th August. The skatecamp is going to include – a lot of skating, breakdancing lessons and chillin at the water park. There will be Nikita riders Jana Baráková and Radka Janceková as well as french ripper Lisa Jacobs to guide you and provide tutorials. The camp price is only 150 euros (£101) which includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, the camp photographer, tennis, breakdancing and other activities on offer at the leisure centre. The skate camp only has space for 17campers – and if you are interested on going on a skate camp this one seems like good value for money.
